- Graduated and be board certified or eligible from an ACGME accredited residency program or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) accredited residency program in neurology, child neurology, internal medicine, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, or general surgery.
- California medical license
- ACLS certification
- Certification in one or more of the following is desirable: Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS)
- To be eligible for a one-year fellowship, candidates must already have completed post-graduate fellowship training in anesthesia, surgical, or internal medicine critical care that requires at least six months of critical care training. Fellows who have completed post-graduate training in neurosurgery are also eligible for a one-year fellowship in neurocritical care.
