Individual Supervision
Interns receive two hours per week of regularly scheduled supervision. Each of these two hours is with a different supervisor. Supervision is based on a developmental model as interns increase their competency across clinical and professional domains. The function of the supervision hour includes but is not limited to monitoring of the intern’s caseload, development of therapeutic skills, discussion of specific assessment cases, difficult clinical interactions, professional development, and evaluating the intern’s progress. At the beginning of the year the intern and supervisor develop a learning plan to determine the intern’s goals and areas of growth for the training year.
