Sutter Medical Center Sacramento (SMCS) is part of the foundation of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 26 acute care hospitals. SMCS is a 532-bed tertiary medical center which is comprised of several facilities that include Ose Adams Medical Pavilion, Anderson Lucchetti Women's and Children's Center, Buhler Cancer Center, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry. SMCS PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program provides residents the opportunity to strengthen and solidify their clinical skills by providing patient care services across the continuum of care. Required rotations build strong clinical, operational, and management foundation in primarily acute care setting. Residents will continue to pursue their area of interest with elective rotations. Longitudinal rotations in research, project development, and operations will garner the skills to be an astute, well-rounded pharmaceutical healthcare provider.
