Dear Residency Candidate,
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s new residency program in Internal Medicine. We are committed to providing a comprehensive, supportive clinical training environment for our residents, who will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a quickly growing area between the Bay Area and the Sierra Nevada.
Sutter Roseville is widely recognized as a leading center for the treatment of traumatic injury and illness — one that retains the sense of connection and shared purpose embedded in our history as a community hospital. Our approach to medical education is patient-centered and team-based, in alignment with our culture of caring and Sutter Health’s mission to enhance the well-being of people in the communities we serve through a not-for-profit commitment to compassion and excellence in healthcare.
Our Internal Medicine residency program will include not only the establishment of key skills, but also clinical experience in general internal medicine as well as subspecialties. Our residents will also be invited to participate in quality improvement initiatives, both those driven by the hospital’s strong QI department and those projects they identify and create themselves. You will be well prepared for your career goals, whether they be primary care, hospitalist medicine or post-residency fellowship training.
At Sutter Roseville, we’re as proud of the quality of our broad-based Internal Medicine residency program as we are of our open, welcoming environment. As a resident here, you will be prepared for a lifelong career in medicine by excellent physicians, colleagues and mentors. On behalf of the Internal Medicine team and the Sutter Roseville administration, thank you for your interest in our program — we look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Van Geslani, MD, FACP
