In partnership with Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California, the California Pacific Medical Center Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship provides its trainees with a well-rounded education in all aspects of pulmonary and critical care medicine. The two medical centers care for diverse patient populations and allow for exposure to a breadth of pulmonary and critical care pathologies. The fellowship strives to provide participating fellows the highest quality training in compassionate, evidence-based, high-quality, cost-effective care.
In 2021, in order to grow with the blossoming medical center and educational opportunities at CPMC the fellowship received support for program expansion and currently accepts two fellows per academic year. We will reach our full complement of six fellows during the 2022-23 academic year. The graduate medical education office at CPMC supports numerous training programs and fellows will work alongside trainees in internal medicine residency, and fellows in general and advanced heart failure cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, neurocritical care, and endocrinology.
