CPMC Pharmacy Residency

This residency program is accredited by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) offering two residency positions annually. Its learning experiences are designed to accommodate the interests and training needs of each participant. Preceptors guide the residents through their clinical experiences on each rotation. Residents are active participants on the clinical management teams allowing them to gain experiences to become an independent and able practitioner.
The residents will receive teaching and training in quality assurance monitoring and strategies for cost containment. They will be participating and supporting interdepartmental activities and committee work including meetings and projects associated with various hospital pharmacy committees. Teaching will emphasize problem identification and solving after careful and thoughtful analysis. The residents will have opportunities to learn and improve their communication skills that will be an asset to their professional career.
