The Sutter Roseville Medical Center Anesthesiology Residency Program is dedicated to promoting a supportive learning environment that prepares young physicians to provide excellent medical care.

It’s home to a Level II trauma center, a Level III NICU, the Sutter Rehabilitation Institute, and a Joint Commission-recognized Primary Stroke Center. In 2020, a carefully designed, patient-focused 98,000 square-foot expansion opened to meet the growing needs of Roseville and nearby communities.

Sutter’s decades-long investment in graduate medical education and established institutional accreditation through the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) provide a solid foundation for new residency programs at Sutter Roseville. Existing residency programs within the health system include family medicine in Sacramento, Davis, Amador and Santa Rosa, as well as internal medicine, ophthalmology, and psychiatry at CPMC.

Anesthesiology Residency Program

This program creates an opportunity for our residents to learn the required educational content recommended by the American Board of Anesthesiology in preparation for their eventual Board Certification in Anesthesiology. In addition, we focus on delivering high quality anesthetic care to a wide variety of patients who receive medical treatment at Sutter Roseville Medical Center and within the Sutter Health system and its affiliates throughout Northern California.
