Dear Fellowship Candidate,
On behalf of the faculty and administration of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center, I’d like to thank you for your interest in our cardiovascular fellowship program. We’re dedicated to providing an enriching academic and clinical learning environment that will successfully prepare fellows for independent clinical practice in Cardiology. In alignment with the mission of Sutter Health, the fellowship program will work to enhance the well-being of people in the community through a not-for-profit commitment to compassion and excellence in healthcare service.
Our fellows will train under board-certified and licensed cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons with extensive teaching experience. These dedicated doctors will mentor trainees and instill in them a desire for lifelong learning with a goal of improving their cardiology practices throughout their careers. My faculty colleagues and I will strive to train fellows to provide patient-centered cardiology care that promotes medical advances using the latest research and technology.
Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s high patient volume and unique cases will provide fellows with hands-on experience and knowledge in cardiology. Sutter Sacramento will provide a very rich experience in tertiary and quaternary care for the cardiovascular patient. Fellows will train at Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento with clinical rotations in inpatient cardiology consult service, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization laboratory, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, cardiac surgery, and cardiac electrophysiology. There’ll be an opportunity to rotate through patient clinics focused on valve/structural heart disease, advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, and adult congenital heart disease. This is an exciting time for cardiovascular education in the greater Sacramento/Roseville area and Sutter Health.
We welcome questions about the program. Please reach out to our program coordinator, Carolyn Stutsman, for more information. Again, on behalf of our entire faculty, thank you for your interest in our program. I look forward to meeting you.
